We’re excited to announce that CRAVE Catering has won a 2016 International Caterers Association (ICA) Catered Arts Through Innovative Excellence (CATIE) Award in the “Best Food Trend Incorporation” category for our “CRAVE Inferno Popcorn!”
There’s nothing we love more than being able to push our creative limits, so when Enticing Entertainment approached us with the opportunity of catering their high energy Open House, an event that included aerialists, acrobats, stilt walkers, and fire dancers, we knew we had the perfect backdrop to showcase our creativity!
The end result? A diverse menu that featured our Sriracha Caramel Popcorn a.k.a. “Inferno Popcorn,” served on a smoking cart of popcorn pushed by a roaming jester!
*Fun Fact: our Jester also happens to be Executive Chef John Chesnut
Our CATIE Award winning, “Inferno Popcorn,” is locally grown and popped in the CRAVE Catering production kitchen in Northeast Minneapolis. We also wanted to make sure that our presentation matched with our surroundings, so to add a little extra fun, the cart we served the popcorn from had liquid nitrogen, which provided it with a steaming effect and brought out the sense of Sriracha spiciness!
Designed with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, it’s like CRAVE Catering Executive Chef John Chesnut says, “Food should inspire you, be memorable, and most importantly – be delicious!”
We’re beyond honored to have been selected as a 2016 International Caterers Association award winner, especially since we were up against catering companies all over the world!
