Girl Scouts 100 Year Anniversary Event at MOA with CRAVE Catering
This past weekend, the Mall of America hosted the Girls Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys with over 50,000 Girls Scouts including alumni from years past. 2012 is the Girl Scouts 100 year anniversary and their team really took some great time and effort in planning a whole weekend of events at the Mall of America. CRAVE Restaurants & CRAVE Catering was a big portion of these events in multiple ways. At each CRAVE location there is a monthly CRAVE Care’s Program that reaches out to non-profit organizations, to help raise money and awareness for the business. A portion of the proceeds from any item purchased from the special menu, created by CRAVE’s Culinary Director Jim Kyndberg, will be donated to Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys for the entire month of March.
Girl Scouts is the premier leadership and educational organization for girls. With your support, we will continue to fulfill our promise to build girls of courage, confidence and character over the next 100 years. CRAVE Mall of America hosted the Board of Directors on Saturday for a special lunch, ordering purely off of the special monthly menu, from the CRAVE Cares Program, to help boost the sales for the donations. Please stop in today at any store to help out the Girl Scouts.
To continue with the weekend’s events, CRAVE Catering was honored to execute the Alumni Networking event on March 8th, where 250 Girl Scout Leaders, Supporters and Alumni got together to eat wonderful food provided by CRAVE Catering. Some items included Mini Burgers, Chicken Satays, Shrimp Cocktail, Mediterranean Platter with Hummus and Pita Bread, Bruschetta Caprese and of course some Girl Scout Cookies, including the unforgettable Thin Mints (my personal favorite)! The night was a huge success with many amazed by the event and food.
On Sunday March 11th CRAVE Catering also hosted the Girl Scouts Brunch in the Great Room at the Mall of America. There were 350 Girl Scout Leaders, Supporters and Alumni that were able to attend this. It was an early start with some phenomenal food provided by CRAVE Catering including our Egg Scramble with peppers, onions and cheddar cheese, pancakes, fresh fruit, home-made pastries, bacon, sausage and hash brown potatoes. The guests left happy and full, as well as pleased to be a part of the enormous event with the Girl Scouts! What a great organization and we at CRAVE Catering feel so grateful to be a part of it all.
