Built in 1905, the Connolly Shoe Factory was renovated in 2016 to become one of the largest event venues in Minnesota capable of hosting up to 720 guests or smaller groups. Located in beautiful and historic downtown Stillwater, this historic building includes a full service salon, studio, and secret speakeasy. JX is conveniently located adjacent to the 250 space parking garage and the historic Lowell Inn.

Purposely ambiguous, the name “JX” will be defined by the first class events held within our exposed brick walls. Clients will have access to an unparalleled multimedia experience, photo booth room and a state of the art sound system. We have created a dynamic event space, bursting with modern luxuries, while still celebrating the historic charm of the building. Imagine pulling back a theater-style curtain to reveal an enchanting dinner setting.

JX Amenities:

  • Main room that accommodates up to 500 people (plated dinners) or up to 720 people (cocktail-style)
  • Tables and chairs for up to 300 guests (extra tables and chairs may be rented)
  • Photo booth (including props), and all digital files
  • Private VIP & Bourbon Rooms
  • Adjacent public parking ramp with 250 spaces (fees apply and non-guaranteed spaces)
  • 12 hour rental (1pm -1am) and extra time may be added
  • 8 HD TVs, two projectors, wireless microphones, Wifi and laptop + iPod music plug ins
  • Customizable down lighting on brick walls
  • Handicap accessibility with elevator, 5 high chairs and 2 booster seats
  • Complimentary 1 hour professional event consultation 30 days prior to event
